As we navigate everyday work challenges, finding self-care time can be difficult. It is important to have tools that help us contain stress and ensure our overall wellness. Fortunately, Google has developed many wellness tools that are readily available for use–tools are geared toward helping us maintain a healthy balance and improve our quality of life.
Google Fit
Google Fit is a Google product that tracks and measures physical activity. It can synchronize our exercise data from different devices and third-party applications. Google Fit gives excellent feedback, enabling us to learn more about physical activity. We can check our results in steps, heart points, and minutes spent moving. The app allows us to set daily goals and track improvement over time.

Google Stay Focused
We all know how easy it is to get distracted by social media feeds, notifications, and other online activities. This is where the ‘Google Stay Focused’ tool, part of Digital Wellbeing, comes in. Google Stay Focused helps users limit the time spent on their phones actively. You can select certain apps or websites for a specified duration to minimize distraction, allowing for more productivity time.
Google Sleep Sounds
The 21st century can get loud. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to forget how important it is to rest—with Google Sleep Sounds, relaxation and mindfulness never sounded so good. Google Sleep Sounds give users audio backgrounds, including white noise, perfect for meditation, yoga, or sleeping well.

Google Calm
Google Calm is an application that reduces stress and facilitates focus. It is designed to turn attention to breathing techniques that help us maintain a peaceful and relaxed mind. Google Calm can be customized with ambient sounds, guided meditations, and imagery. The app also provides guided sleep stories and mindfulness practices.
Google Mindful Breaks
Sometimes, we get caught up in work and forget to take a breath. Mindful Breaks can help to prevent burnout. At specific times, Google sends notifications prompting us to take a minute to reset and engage in guided meditation or breathing exercises. These breaks allow us to recharge while taking advantage of the wellness benefits attendant to mindfulness and meditation.
Google Assistant
Google Assistant can do more than answer your queries and manage your schedule. It can also act as your virtual meditation guide. You can ask your assistant to play nature sounds, guided meditations, and soothing music using voice commands or typing.

Google Assistant can also help you practice mindfulness with breathing exercises and daily affirmations. The best part? You don’t need any prior meditation experience to get started.
Google Workspace
Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite, is a comprehensive suite of tools designed to help you manage your work better. In addition to its productivity features, the suite offers several tools to help you manage your well-being.
For example, Google Meet’s breakout rooms feature can help you manage social interactions during virtual work. In contrast, Google Forms can help you survey your team’s well-being and make data-informed decisions.
